One of South California’s most popular beachside hangouts, the Pub AG, had its grand opening celebration early this Friday evening. Boasting food, drinks, and music, the opening also held a car and bike contest that saw entries ranging from sweet, cherried out classics to high-end sports. Before the judging took place, the occasional roar of an engine could be heard nearby as attendees used the AG’s unique “high jump” to try and leap motorcycles and vehicles onto the roof. Injuries were at a surprising minimum for such a large event. Vehicles belonging to two Los Santos officials were among the top three contest picks, Mayor Joe Jackson taking second place and Police Chief James Murdock securing third with his matching car and bike dual entry. The first place winner was a local mechanic, Joel Whitehead. The event lasted well into the night, showing off the underglow on some cars while people mingled and indulged in the AG’s mouthwatering tacos. The contest winners took home handsome cash prizes made possible by the event’s sponsors; Bank of Liberty, Benny’s Garage, Full Throttle Therapy, and Pub AG itself.
